Introduction

Anand is a Professor and Chair of Physiology at Western Sydney University School of Medicine.  He is a theme leader in biomarker development within the Diabetes & Islet Biology group that he heads and is a visiting Professor (since 2016) with the Danish Diabetes & Endocrine Academy, Denmark. His interests are in using machine learning and generative-AI-based approaches towards developing dynamic risk scores for diabetes discrimination, risk stratification, and personalised therapy.
