Diabetes & opthalmology bridge
The Lund University Diabetes Centre and the Istanbul Medeniyet University Diabetes Research Center (DİMER) are dedicated to adress the growing challenges posed by the rising incidence and prevalence of diabetes and associated vascular complications. While the modern drug portfolio for diabetes is improving, optimizing the selection of the most suitable drug for each patient based on the disease’s pathophysiology remains a significant challenge.
In this joint DİMER Bridge Diabetes-Ophthalmology Symposium, our esteemed colleagues from Turkey, Sweden, and Denmark will share their expertise on current treatment guidelines, key pathophysiological insights, and emerging therapeutic perspectives.
The symposium aims to foster clinical discussions on combined therapies for diverse diabetes cases and to establish a foundation for long-term collaboration. Together, we seek to advance understanding of ethnic-specific aspects of diabetes pathophysiology and its complications.
