The Medeon stipend is handed out in connection to the acknowledgement of World Diabetes Day in Skåne which takes place on November 14th. This year the arrangement will be broad casted to the public in real time from Medeon Science Park in Malmö where lecturers are present.

The motivation for the award is: "Docent Karl Bacos is awarded 2020 years Medeon stipend for his innovative work within epigenetics in diabetes, how our lifestyle affects the inheritance of the disease".

The Medeon stipend is given by Medeon Science Park & Incubator together witl Moll Wendén Advokatbyrå. The program during World Diabetes Day is arranged in collaboration with Lund University Diabetes Centre (LUDC), Diabetes association Skåne, Lund University and Diabetessamverkan Sverige (DSS).
