Allan Vaag, Coordinator of LUDC and EXODIAB, and Lena Eliasson, Vice Coordinator of LUDC and EXODIAB, handle the daily operations at LUDC. The centre is led by a governing board that includes all the principal investigators at LUDC.

The strategic research area EXODIAB at Lund University and Uppsala University is led by an executive board and a governing board with members from both universities. 

LUDC is advised by a scientific advisory board (SAB) with three members from academia.
