About EXODIAB

Within EXODIAB, diabetes researchers at Lund University Diabetes Centre (LUDC) and Uppsala University work closely together. The shared ambition is to develop new treatments and drugs that can prevent or cure diabetes.

A significant part of diabetes research at Lund University and Uppsala University is conducted within EXODIAB (Excellence of Diabetes Research in Sweden), a strategic research area (SRA) in Sweden.

The primary aim of EXODIAB is to develop new treatments and drugs that can prevent, delay, or cure diabetes and its complications. A second objective is to create improved conditions for the personalisation of care and treatment of patients with diabetes.

Platforms for collaboration

At LUDC, more than 300 members of staff are involved in this collaborative effort. EXODIAB is funded by a strategic research grant from the Swedish Research Council.

In this section of the LUDC website, you can read more about the strategic research area EXODIAB, how the SRA is organised, some of our research areas, and resources and activities.
